First off as of May 26th I graduated from High School so I have a lot more freetime now. Next I saw the new trailer for Chipwrecked and I cannot wait for it. Now that all of that is said I have a few ideas for the site pending the other Admins and Crat's approval of course.
First off I plan on changing the forums to a proboards which are easier to use and can even add a chat box which since Wikia stopped their chat box a while back would be a nice alternative. I can create the forum now but I will wait for approval from the others here before I do but if accepted would allow us to expand the site into a more active site since the current forum never really got started partially my fault. In the event the Forum is created I am looking for name ideas for it and if the forum is accepted we will have a vote to determine it's name.
Next up a brief introduction of myself for those who are new since you guys may not have met me yet. I am the newest Admin but I have been an Admin for some time now. I do not know if we are planning on adding any more Admins but don't be afraid to ask me since I will gladly ask the other Admins and Crats if requested.
Another Idea I had was to advertise the site to try to attract more people. I have already done so a while back on the Pokemon Roleplaying site I am a member of and my High School Blog but have not done it much elsewhere for members willing to do so feel free as long as you do not spam a site with an ad and only post an ad if the rules allow.
Next I want to thank those who updated the main page I cannot tell you how long it went without an overhaul and it is a great improvement over the old one. One thing I did notice and plan on fixing is a lot of pages are copied from Wikipedia which is fine to start out with but have not been edited that much and by copying another site it makes us look kind of bad so fairly soon I will help rewrite most of the articles which are clear copy and paste articles from Wikipedia.
Next up I have noticed members posting fanfiction a little while ago. A while back we decided to move all fanfiction to the fanon site but without Halofan we have not had much luck in moving the current articles there but for those who wish to post fanfiction his is the link to the fanon site.

This is to ensure that Fanfiction does not become entangled with articles from the actual series.
Next up I noticed the poll section which is pretty cool.I could not add a picture for some reason but I added the Squeakquel Soundtrack to the list of Albums.as well as the first movies soundtrack. If I find any more that I know are missing I will add them.
Some other things that I plan to do in the near future are update the Site Policy and Manual of Style which have not been updated in a while. I am still hoping Halofan comes back since he was working on all of that but now it has been at least 6 months without him on and according the the policy he should be seen as inactive now but I will not do anything until SJ4evr the other Admins and Myself discuss it but this is not the first time he has dissappeared from what I have been told. Either way since he was the most skilled of us at using Wikia his absense has made it hard to update some parts of the site although I will try to learn more Wikia coding so I will be able to make some of the nessiary changes. He did long in as of May 1st but has not made edits in quite some time which I do not know why off hand but I hope he manages to become active again soon
Next up in the past we have had increased levels of Spam before a new movie release and I have a feeling it will happen again when the Chip Wrecked movie comes out. I remember having to clean up the Squeakquel page from spammers countless times and therefore have no patience for spammers on any pages here after what they did when the Squeakquel came out. So as a fair warning do not spam or else. If we must we can move the page up to members only eidt or even Systemop only edits should spam on the page become to much of a problem. I am sorry if I seem a little mean but after what happened last time I want to protect the site from yet another spam wave the best I can. Those who are admins or members from the time I joined and before know how bad the spam got at times and we certainly do not want to block edits to a page unless we have to.
One thing I did notice is that it has been over a year since we have elected anyone to the Council of Chipmunks in which in May of 2010 I was elected. I for one would support having a new addition but that is up for discussion and currently I do not have anyone in mind for the promotion but this is something else that will have to be discussed before anything can be certain.
I also plan on discussing with the other Admins and Sj4evr what to add to the community portal since right now it is blank. Ideas are welcome from all but like most of what is posted here will require Admin discussion before it can be implemented so keep that in mind if you have an idea for the community portal.
For some reason the featured user list no longer works so I will try and see why it no longer works or maybe discuss deleting that section with the other Admins and Sj4evr if we cannont get it to work. I will also go through older pages looking for errors or Spam and or problems with the page and try and fix them over the next couple of days.
