I must be on a roll at the moment: two blogs back-to-back and my first detailed experience post, which was by no means planned, but it seems like something that was inevitable. Events of the past couple days are a big driver motivating me to create a "State of the Fandom"-like message from how I see it given my six plus years in this fandom.

I know I've posted elsewhere about exactly why I got interested in the franchise so I'll omit that here.

At the beginning of my time in the fandom, the hatred from some for the CGI/live-action films was quite strong. I'm the kind of guy that tends to remain moderate (there's typically a good and bad about everything, radically good/bad positions aren't that constructive) and the environment for discussio…

Wow, it's been nearly a year and a half since I've written a blog, but this topic is one that's been on my mind many times and many times I almost wrote something about them. All the time I see fans or ordinary people state something about the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise or characters that causes me and other fans to just shake our heads. Usually this misconceptions aren't made on purpose though they become a rolling theme for those fans that are extensively involved in all aspects of the franchise. The following are some of the most common claims made about Alvin and the Chipmunks.

This question I see, and have replied to, so many times. While an official explanation of the name is unknown, a little bit of reasoning makes this naming…

    A Thank You

    November 4, 2017 by DEmersonJMFM

November is the month commonly know for Thanksgiving and giving thanks. I've always been appreciative of the help various users have given me on the wiki, and even personally. This blog is for you guys; I may not remember everyone but if you've helped the wiki then thank you!

    • SJ4evr - She's no longer active on the wiki but she's one of the reasons I first joined the wiki over five years ago. She was knowledgeable and open to discussion about the various generations, even if she liked one over another. Her civil posts and friendliness shined over many in the fandom at that time and encouraged me to actually stay on the wiki so I thank her for that.
    • Rugratskid - This guy was important in helping expand the wiki to all the generations by helping…

The Munkapedia Statistical Report is an annual report, released by Munkapedia's administration, documenting stats about the activity of the wiki for community discussion in hopes of establishing long-term trends to better show where there is strength and where there is need for improvement. Our first report was released two years ago containing a few areas of interest. In our second report, these areas were expanded to include five new charts, one of which utilizes some of the 2014-2015 year's data. Over the last year, one additional chart was added comparing this year to the original report.

This report will be the final annual release of statistical data.

The first graph shows daily total wiki views and edits from April 1st, 2016 to March …

Multiple times in the past I've considered creating this blog for all the former users who wished to help with song pages but were unsure about how to construct them. Today I'm going to finally go over the important aspects of song pages for everyone so any confusion can be cleared and obstacles blocking editing of these pages can be lifted. The basic structure of these pages will be first outlined before editing technicalities and singer attribution are discussed.

Nearly every song page is constructed the same (with few clear exceptions such as "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)"). Each song page is expected to have four primary parts: the intro paragraph, a video (or image placeholder), the lyrics, and relevant categories.
