Let's All Sing With The Chipmunks Album Song Page Thumb

"Three Blind Mice" is a classic children's nursery rhyme, first published in 1805, that is covered by The Chipmunks, featuring David Seville, in The Alvin Show episode Lovesick Dave. The song is also included in the album Let's All Sing with The Chipmunks. The lyrics were altered slightly for this version (carving knife > paring knife).

Lyrics

Dave:
Why have you boys put blindfolds on those three mice?

Alvin:
Because!

Dave:
Because why?

Simon:
Because that's the name of this song!

Dave:
Very clever, boys, who's gonna start first?

Simon:
Me!

Dave:
Alright, Simon! Go!

Simon (Alvin & Theodore):
Three blind mice, three blind mice
See how they run (three blind mice), see how they run (three blind mice)
They all went after the farmers wife (three blind mice, see how they run)
She cut off their tails with a paring knife (three blind mice, see how they run)
Did they ever see such a sight in your life? (three blind mice, see how they run)

She cut off their tails with a paring knife
Did they ever see such a sight in your life? (as three blind mice)

She cut off their tails with a paring knife
Did they ever see such a sight in your life?
As three blind mice

Alvin:
Hey, that was swell!

Simon:
Yeah, we did it right!

Theodore:
Yeah! (Giggle)

Alvin:
Okay, you kids at home try it!
Ready? Go!

Dave:
Alvin, will you get out of that tuba?

The Chipmunks:
Three blind mice, three blind mice
See how they run, see how they run
They all went after the farmers wife
She cut off their tails with a paring knife
Did they ever see such a sight in your life?
As three blind mice
