    • Still one episode to air so I can't give favorites, but I'll give my thoughts on the first three.

Munk Man. This one seems to be one of the more controversial episodes of the series in terms of potential humiliation of Alvin and a new, harsher Simon. While I can understand this view, I wouldn't take it that far. It might seem like Simon went too far, but I'm reminded that Alvin has a natural ability to overshadow everyone else evident with Alvin still overshadowing Simon while wearing a duck costume. Simon's resentment of his brother seemed warranted though I'm glad Alvin fixed the mistake at the end. "Munk Man" is a highlight of the episode.

Ride Along was one of those average episodes for me. Not bad, though not one of the best. The bike thief felt pretty obvious at the beginning given an early comment and the high dollar black SUV. Part of Officer Dangus didn't feel quite right or Theodore being bad at riding a bike (wasn't he riding fine in earlier episodes?). I honestly wasn't expecting Dangus to break out in tears though that quickly ended and I didn't think it transitioned well. I enjoyed most of the dialogue only to be surprised Dangus wasn't actually fit enough to get over the fence. I did spot a goof with the tracker that stuck out. The song, "Ride With Me," is also good.

Alvin's Wild Weekend is one of those better episodes of the season. Feeling down, Alvin really wanted to spend time with Dave. One of the traits I've (sometimes) liked about Alvin is the extent he'll go to get what he wants. There was a great plot twist near the end and I was thrown by Dave breaking Alvin's heart (one of those emotional moments in the series). Alvin spent a full month of chores to get this trip Dave, how could you not realize how important this outing was to Alvin? The jokes on this one were also pleasing. What's the low-light of the episode? I'll have to say the song, "My Way." It just didn't feel right for me.

Edit: For Whom the Bell Tolls. Though this was a good episode, I'd say Alvin's Wild Weekend won out for my favorite (surprising given there's a Simon episode). I loved the fact that Simon got the chance (not by choice of course) to be different. Simon as a dufus? Sounds fun, right? The B.U.T.T. jokes worked well. Here's an episode we get to see another side of Simon; that being that he can snap at people when highly stressed. Understandably, I do the same. What's this series' obsession with Lady Gaga I wonder. This episode has the third reference to her. Overall a pleasant episode.

    • Although I will post my full review later, Munk Man reminded me of Batmunk, down to even the outfit and munkmobile.
