This post is regarding our episode guide for "The Alvin Show". I have been trying to make a episode guide that would make sense according to the many complete episodes I've seen, but a lot of things just don't match up. I just noticed as of this typing that the Wikipedia episode listing PARTIALLY matches the episodes released on DVD. "Stanley the Eagle" matches up perfectly but "Overworked Alvin" doesn't at all, and "Ostrich" is the same as the DVD, other then the Clyde segment. I have around 4-7 episodes from the Nickelodeon broadcast, and around 10-15 from the 80's (broadcast by FOX-25). The 80's reruns barely match up; the only matching one I could see was "Stanley the Eagle", which seems to be the same on the 80's reruns and the Nickelodeon broadcast, but it's not the same on Wikipedia. I have NO idea where the Wikipedia guide comes from; the only possible places left for it to come from would be either the original CBS broadcasts, or it's just a totally random list someone put together, and a few episodes match by coincidence. I higly doubt it was from the CBS showings though, as there's basically nowhere to get information about how they originally aired, so where would that information come from? Someone COULD have carefully written down what episodes aired when in a list of sorts back in 1961, but how would they even know what every single segment was titled? I'd love to know where the Wikipedia list was compiled from, but since it was probably done ages ago, I have no real way of knowing that. I'm wondering if anyone here has an information on this that I don't. I'll post episode lists for all the episodes I have seen below, and if anyone has more they can add (and confirm to exist), please let me know.
