The Paperboy is an episode of the ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks series.

Synopsis

When Alvin starts stealing the morning paper to sell at school, Dave blames the paper boy and refuses to pay up. ^{[citation needed]}

Plot

The paperboy throws the Seville's paper against the door and Alvin quickly retrieves it before Dave. The red-clad chipmunk leaves for school early, for a supposed make-up test, but is actually selling parts of the newspaper to different administrators. Jimmy, the paperboy, visits Dave for his weekly payment and is angered Dave won't pay for the papers delivered. Dave confirms Miss Croner received her paper shortly before Jimmy calls Dave informing him of his skills that'll make him a nightmare. Jimmy's stealthy behavior freaks Dave out so he calls Officer Dangus for help. Dangus doesn't believe him but checks the house anyways before pranking him. Dave orders The Chipmunks to stay in their room for their safety though Theodore is hungry for desert and sets off to retrieve his candy stash in the vent. Downstairs, Dave hears noises outside and in the vent unnerving him. His fright continues to worsen with the robot toy stuck in the vent and Simon on the roof trying to get signal for an old TV. Jimmy learns the following morning that Alvin is the paper thief and Alvin faces disgruntle teachers for the marked up pages he provides them. He promises to find a replacement and one drops at his feet, though unbeknownst to him is controlled by Jimmy keeping it out of reach. Dave calls Dangus again, who recommends a doctor instead. Out the window they discover Jimmy is messing with Alvin, and they finally learn the truth about the thief. In order to pay Dave back, Alvin delivers papers.

• This is the second episode where Taken is referenced. The first being Prank Calls .

• Jimmy Antwater was first mentioned in the episode IHear as Brittany's crush, with this episode marking his first physical appearence.
