The Curse of McBeth is an episode of the ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks series.

The Chipmunks don't want to perform in the school play, after learning of its curse.[2]

  • The title maybe a reference to the 80's episode The Curse of Lontiki.
  • Peter Pan is mentioned, in this episode.
  • The aforementioned curse is a real-known theatrical superstition, called "the Scottish curse." Speaking the name McBeth inside a theater, other than as called for in the script while rehearsing or performing, will cause disaster. A variation of the superstition also forbids quoting lines from the play within a theater except as part of an actual rehearsal or performance of the play.
    • Additionally, The Tragedy of McBeth is a playwright written by William Shakespeare.
  • Part of the lyrics for the original song say "something wicked's comin'," which could possibly be a direct reference to the play with the second witch's pronouncement at McBeth's approach, "by the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes."
  • The song "Faking Brave" was drastically cut short in the UK airing for unspecified reasons.
  • When Simon is researching the curse of McBeth, the thumbnails of the videos shown on his laptop are thumbnails or screenshots from actual YouTube videos about McBeth.
  • Goof: Simon mentions that Macbeth is Shakespeare's most played tale when it's in fact A Midsummer Night's Dream.
