Trivia

  • The title maybe a reference to the 80's episode The Curse of Lontiki.
  • Peter Pan is mentioned, in this episode.
  • The aforementioned curse is a real-known theatrical superstition, called "the Scottish curse." Speaking the name MacBeth inside a theatre, other than as called for in the script while rehearsing or performing, will cause disaster. A variation of the superstition also forbids quoting lines from the play within a theatre except as part of an actual rehearsal or performance of the play.
    • Additionally, The Tragedy of MacBeth is a playwright written by William Shakespeare.
  • Part of the lyrics for the original song say "something wicked's comin'," which could possibly be a direct reference to the play with the second witch's pronouncement at MacBeth's approach, "by the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes."
  • When Simon is researching the curse of MacBeth, the thumbnails of the videos shown on his laptop are thumbnails or screenshots from actual YouTube videos about MacBeth.
  • Goof: Simon mentions that Macbeth is Shakespeare's most played tale when it's in fact A Midsummer Night's Dream.
