The Alvin Show features The Chipmunks, along with David Seville, Clyde Crashcup, Mrs. Frumpington, and an interviewer named Harry singing songs or talking about stories in The Alvin Show. The album has been re-released on cassette and CD in 1990.

This album did not chart but was nominated for a Grammy for Best Engineered Record - Novelty in 1962.[2]
