Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is the fourth film in the $1.3 billion CGI/live-action movie series produced by Fox 2000 Pictures, Regency Enterprises, and Bagdasarian Productions, which premiered December 18th, 2015 in the US. Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) come to believe that Dave (Jason Lee) is going to propose to his new girlfriend (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) in Miami and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother (Josh Green). The film also features The Chipettes (Christina Applegate, Anna Faris, and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting), Ashley Grey (Bella Thorne), and Agent James Suggs (Tony Hale), in addition to Redfoo as himself. The soundtrack, released December 11th, 2015, contains nine hit tracks including "Uptown Funk," "Juicy Wiggle," and "South Side," as well as the brand-new Chipmunk and Chipette original "Home."

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is the third film in the CGI/live-action movie series produced by Fox 2000 Pictures, Regency Enterprises, and Bagdasarian Productions, which premiered December 16th, 2011 in the US, grossing $342 million worldwide. Playing around while aboard a cruise ship, The Chipmunks (Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney) and The Chipettes (Christina Applegate, Anna Faris, and Amy Poehler) accidentally go overboard and end up marooned in a tropical paradise. They discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems as Dave Seville (Jason Lee) and Ian Hawke (David Cross) join the search to find the castaways. The soundtrack, released November 15th, 2011, contains thirteen to seventeen hit tracks (depending on album edition and bonus tracks) including covers of "Party Rock Anthem," "Bad Romance," and "Survivor" as well as two mash-ups, "We Speak No Americano/Conga" and "Born This Way/Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now/Firework."
