I'd think the Chipettes would be listed as main characters? I know the Chipmunks appear more often in the show overall, but the Chipettes have had many episodes either all to themselves or mainly them. They even changed the title to "The Chipmunks" on the sixth season, seemingly because of this fact. ("Chipmunks" in the title, I assume, not referring directly to the band name in this case, but the chipmunks as a term to describe the layman's term for the species. I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but seriously, it is not JUST the new movies, there are 50 years of cartoons, and it seems like after the last 5 years we have forgotten the cartoons, their not extinct you know! :) ---SJ4evr
