Setting the Record Straight is an episode of the Alvin and the Chipmunks series.
Plot[]
Once The Chipmunks hear of a contest on the radio for $100, Alvin and Simon turn Theodore into a record mascot. On the way to the radio station, they lose Theodore when he rolls away before stopping in a tire shop. His brothers stop to get him some orange juice but when they are gone, Theodore is hung as a sign for a record store. Alvin and Simon make it to the radio station and win the contest, before they realize they lost Theodore. The brothers back-track to try and find him. When they do find him, they go back to the radio station but are denied the win this time. In debt by $75, the boys dress as records for the grand opening of the record store.

- A running gag is that people keep mistaking Theodore for a doughnut instead of a record.
- Before this episode, Theodore's never gone more than a hour without eating according to Simon
