He is immediately assumed to be a villain since the first thing he does is send his two rough-looking henchmen to capture [[The Chipmunks]] and [[The Chipettes]]. However, he turns out to be on their side as he is a high-ranking member of INTERPOL and by working to bust an illegal international diamond smuggling ring ran by [[Klaus Furschtein|Klaus]] and [[Claudia Furschtein]], whom he has been after for years, having managed to ruin most of their operations by capturing their couriers. With the help of an inside man named Mario posing as Claudia's butler, Jamal is fed information about where The Chipmunks and The Chipettes would be delivering the diamonds. Jamal succeeds in taking Klaus and Claudia into custody with the help of The Chipmunks, The Chipettes, [[Dave Seville|Dave]], and [[Miss Miller]] when the Furschteins are run off the road by Miss Miller before they could escape to Costa Rica and Jamal arrives with police backup to finally arrest them. |

Inspector Jamal is a character in The Chipmunk Adventure. He is immediately assumed to be a villain since the first thing he does is send his two rough-looking henchmen to capture The Chipmunks and The Chipettes. However, he turns out to be on their side as he is a high-ranking member of INTERPOL and by working to bust an illegal international diamond smuggling ring ran by Klaus and Claudia Furschtein, whom he has been after for years, having managed to ruin most of their operations by capturing their couriers. With the help of an inside man named Mario posing as Claudia's butler, Jamal is fed information about where The Chipmunks and The Chipettes would be delivering the diamonds. Jamal succeeds in taking Klaus and Claudia into custody with the help of The Chipmunks, The Chipettes, Dave, and Miss Miller when the Furschteins are run off the road by Miss Miller before they could escape to Costa Rica and Jamal arrives with police backup to finally arrest them.
