Home Sweet Home is an episode of The Chipmunks series.

Plot[]

Alvin hands out autographs to get votes for Carnival King until Ricky, another runner, gives out a Tom Cruise autograph. Alvin then lies to his classmates that he will be singing with Michael Jackson at the carnival if he wins. The boys' begin looking for Michael only to discover Jeremy Huffington who claims to be Michael Jackson's "personal-person", but got stranded and promises to introduce them to Michael if they can get him some food and shelter. Alvin informs Ricky of Jeremy but he doesn't believe him so Alvin has Simon create a lie-detector. Ricky passes and the bell rings before Jeremy can be tested. Jeremy tries to speak to Alvin in private, but rumors abound, causing reporters to flood the Seville House on the basis Michael is their guest. Jeremy, while petting Lilly, is glad she does not care about Jeremy's wealth or status. While Alvin is trying to be rid of the reporters by having Dave dress as Michael Jackson, Jeremy decides to admit the truth to the reporters, that all he is is a homeless man. Ricky and the other status-seekers denounce Alvin, until another man appears who identifies himself as Michael Jackson's chauffer, and that this hoopla has gotten Michael interested in a benefit concert for the homeless, as well as offering Jeremy a job on Michael's staff. The episode ends with Michael Jackson singing with Alvin.

  • Michael Jackson was a Chipmunk fan and wanted to be a part of the show. Michael visited the Studio City offices to meet the artists and producers, but he did not want to provide a voice and instead offered live footage for free to be used in the episode.
