"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is a song originally performed by Frank Sinatra that is covered by Dave Seville in multiple Christmas albums listed below. The song is also covered by The Chipmunks, featuring Santa Claus and Clyde Crashcup, in the soundtrack A Chipmunk Christmas and the album Chipmunks Christmas.

Original Version

Dave:
Sit down and rest a minute fellas.
I wanna say something to you and to all the children listening.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles
Will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on our troubles
Will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

The Chipmunks:
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles
Will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on our troubles
Will be miles away (oh)

Here we are as in olden days (oh)
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Simon:
Goodnight Alvin.

Theodore:
Pleasant dreams.

Santa Claus:
Finally Alvin fell asleep, but even as he slept he couldn't forget about the Echo Harmonica, the Spirit of Christmas, and all the money he needed.
In his dream he met a very strange fellow indeed.
A crazy inventor named Clyde Crashcup who was busy working in his laboratory working on his latest invention, the Spirit of Christmas.

Clyde Crashcup:
Alvin, do come in.
Dave tells me you can't find the Spirit of Christmas.

Alvin:
No, actually I-

Clyde Crashcup:
Well of course you can't find it; I haven't invented it yet.
But, I've begun with Santi Claus.
That's Santi for Santi and Claus for Claus.
Santi Claus - a kind man with a beard and a hat.

Santa Claus:
And with that Crashcup through open the door marked "Santi Claus and His Reindeer."
Well, there was Abe Lincoln sitting on a pumpkin being pulled by eight elephants with antlers attached to their heads.
Hahaha!
Just then, the elephants broke loose and began stampeding knocking Crashcup and Alvin through the air and right out of the door.

Clyde Crashcup:
Ooo, ah there is nothing quite like the exhilaration of discovery, aye Alvin?

Alvin:
Wait a minute.

Clyde Crashcup:
And, there's nothing more Christmasy than music.
I think I should invent Christmas music.
I should call it, let me see, mmm.
Chairoling, no.
Nuncing, ralphing.

Alvin:
It's caroling Clyde.

Clyde Crashcup:
Oh, very well.
Caroling it is.
Now for the first Christmas carol.
A little Christmas music maestro.
