Funiculi, Funicula

"Funiculi, Funicula" is a famous Neapolitan song composed in 1880 by Luigi Denza to lyrics by Peppino Turco that is covered by The Chipmunks in The Alvin Show episode Disc Jockey. The song is also included in the album The Chipmunk Songbook.

Lyrics

Alvin:
(Clears throat) Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
Tonight, let us consider the World.
Some people think the World is flat, some think it's pretty sharp.

Theodore:
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-laaa!

Simon:
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-laaa!

Alvin:
That's not very sharp!
Now, please, no interruptions!
Now, some people think the World is made for fun and frolic.

Theodore:
Yeah! Frolic!

Alvin:
And some think it well to be all melancholic.

The Chipmunks:
Some people think the World is made for fun and frolic

Alvin:
And so do I, and so do I

The Chipmunks:
Some think it well to be all melancholic

Alvin:
To pine and sigh, to pine and sigh
But I, I love to spend my time in singing

Simon:
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-laaa!

Theodore:
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-laaa!

The Chipmunks:
Listen, listen, music everywhere
Listen, listen, music everywhere

Listen, listen, music over there
Listen, listen, music over there

Listen, listen, music everywhere
Listen, listen, music here and there

Tra-la-la-la, tra-la-la-la, tra-la-la-la
Tra-la-la-la-laaaa, music everywhere
Tra-la-la-la-la-laaaaa!
