David Cross (born April 4, 1964) is an Emmy Award-winning American comedian, writer, and actor. He is best known for his appearances on the television series Mr. Show and Arrested Development.
Cross portrays the role of Ian Hawke in the CGI/live-action films Alvin and the Chipmunks, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.
