Dave's Dream Cabin is an episode of the Alvin and the Chipmunks series.

Through years of scrimping and saving, Dave is finally able to afford his own vacation cabin. After Alvin hears that Robby Leach, the host of the show Lifestyles of the Truly Fabulous, lives nearby, he sneaks into Leach's estate but is first turned away, then scared off as he tries to impersonate a delivery boy. After sneaking into a party, Alvin pretends to be a famous rock star (with a faux-British accent). Leach decides to shoot an interview later that day given the overly grand description of Dave's cabin ranging from 200 rooms to gilded floors. While Dave is gone at a meeting, Alvin convinces his brothers to make a "few quick" changes to the cabin for the benefit of Dave, who will serve to make a lot of money after the Chipmunks' fame skyrockets from the forthcoming episode. One of the changes is the addition of a large indoor pool, albeit built in a slipshod manner, and a balloon shaped like a statue of Alvin. Theodore helps out Alvin by pretending to be his butler for the show's taping. Alvin does up his room to look like it is adorned in fan artwork. Alvin also fast talks Leach into not going into the "gymnasium" or "movie theatre" (which are actually only doors to the backyard). However, Alvin's scam begins to unravel when the poorly-built pool breaks, causing the cabin to flood. Alvin asks "So Robby, when will I be on your show", and a drenched, enraged Leach remarks "When pigs fly". Right after Leach's limosine speeds off, Dave returns home, and is shocked to see his cabin waterlogged. Alvin promises he will make everything right again, but Simon and Theodore, tired of being Alvin's slaves, throw him into the lake.

  • "Yakety-Yak" originally performed by The Coasters.

  • Both Robby Leach and his show Lifestyles of the Truly Fabulous are parodies of Robin Leach and his show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
  • Alvin claims Sylvester Stallone is in the cabin, although he says it is "Sy" Stallone's workout in the nonexistent gymnasium.
  • A clip from the episode later appears in the episode Alvin in Analysis.
