Plot

Theodore insists on getting the role of the monster in the school play. Alvin therefore thinks he should teach him how to really be scary. But Alvin terrorizes him so that poor Theodore finds it catatonic. Alvin and Simon work together in conquering his fear, they had to make it back to him before the audition.^{[citation needed]}
