Alvin and the Chipmunks Wiki

Munkapedia, the Alvin and the Chipmunks Wiki has multiple page tags, or PageTags, that are displayed above the Edit/Share buttons, to the left of the Interlanguage menu, for various article pages that have meet specific conditions. Every tag describes that page with a different icon and tooltip (the description displayed when you hover over the symbol). Most tags will also have a corresponding category that automatically attributes the article to it as well as a link to this project page.

Why PageTags?[]

PageTags seek to improve the user experience by providing additional information about the page and how it related to other aspects of the wiki at the top of a page. These tags serve similarly to categories but highlight information in a more useful way while not always relating specifically to the page's content.

What are the current PageTags?[]

Munkapedia only has a handful of tags at the moment, but the number of total tags isn't limited to such a small number so future growth is always a possibility. All tags, with the exception of the protection tags, should only be used in the main namespace.

All PageTags must seek to serve a specific, useful function and aren't meant to replace categories specific to an article's content. If you have an idea for a new tag, feel free to explain the tag and why the wiki could benefit from it on this project's talk page.
