The Chipmunks as they appear in A Chipmunk Christmas

A Chipmunk Christmas is an animated christmas television special based on characters from Alvin and the Chipmunks. It aired on the NBC television network in 1981, nine years after the death of Alvin and the Chipmunks creator Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. (also known as David Seville). This was the first time that Alvin, Simon and David Seville were voiced by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. and was the first time that Theodore was voiced by Janice Karman.

Plot

The Chipmunks wake up Dave to get ready for some christmas shopping but Dave is in a cranky mood when the chipmunks wake him up.While the chipmunks and Dave are going to their studio the chipmunks tell Dave they'll go christmas shopping.But Alvin see's a golden echo harmonica that he wants for christmas but one of his fans named Tommy who is very sick also wants it.Alvin feels very sad about Tommy not getting his christmas present so he runs to Tommy's house and gives him his prized harmonica and it makes him feel better Alvin runs back to the studio to sing the christmas song with Simon and Theodore.
