This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while, much more so given the release of the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
It seems Fox wishes to advertise irrelevant artists by including them in official franchise merchandise, but does absolutely nothing to actually incorporate them properly by using the characters. This is plain wrong. Why should these songs be added here when they contribute nothing to the content of the franchise?
Currently we have "The Song," "We Have Arrived," "Oh My Love," and "Geronimo" that are just promotions for other artists.
I would like to hear everyone's thoughts. Should we be creating articles that don't relate to the franchise? I personally don't think so and I think these articles (if they exist) should be deleted and shouldn't be created. We are not a database for Queensberry, RAE, The Score, or Sheppard. Our articles should reflect what we are about, and, if these songs actually featured The Chipmunks and/or The Chipettes, they would fit right at home here, but they don't.
