I want to thank Rugratskid for bringing this to my attention. Bagdasarian Productions plans to finally release the 1987 animated film on blu-ray disk in March of next year. What do you guys think of the release? Will you buy it?

What's the orginal ratio, 4:3?
will this work in my dvd player? its not a blu-ray one.
The blu-ray version, no. If you have a Windows-based computer with the approperiate software (which I do not know what that would be) or a newer game system (PS4 does play blu-ray and I'm pretty certain PS3 does to) you can play it. A standard DVD version with the same features (if I read the site right) is also being released if you don't have one of these players.
No, it said it is 1.85:1. Now there is no aspect ratio listed for Amazon The one on blu-ray.com says it's 1.85:1 as well.
It will work on Windows 7, 8, Vista, and XP (if it is new enough to have a Blu-ray optical drive), but you must download the correct software for recognizing and decoding the disc if you don't have it (the software isn't standard on the majority of computers). This website can help. There might be some cheaper and easier options, but you'll have to look more into them. I don't know how much a separate blu-ray player is, but it might be a better choice.
According to the Barnes and Noble website, the special feature for the DVD/Blu-Ray is The Brave Chipmunks from The Alvin Show! This is really great, because it could spark more Alvin Show DVDs.
Could you post a link?
Releasing more from The Alvin Show would definitely spark some interest. Many people would see the segment since everyone's been waiting for the blu-ray version of the movie.
Edit: Nevermind, clicky.
I intend to buy the movie! I saw it when it came out on vhs and i still have a copy of it!!
