So I recently found out that there is a new TV show scheduled for the chipmunks and very little is known about it! Will it be hand drawn, CGI, or a mixture of both? What do you think?

Also, all clips with the Chipmunks are non-speaking clips. It might suggest they weren't allowed to show too much, and that's why they re-used the promo a little. We all know how protective Bagdasarian Productions is about their franchise - they love making us wait :p
As for SpongeBob, the same thing could apply. For a promo, they're most likely not able to collect much new footage without some issues with copywright and "pre-release" breaches or something
But Nickelodeon owns SpongeBob. I'm pretty sure Nick would be able to collect new footage from their own series. They've done it before with previous promos. They also managed to do with Fairly OddParents. Not to mention how much footage they're putting out for the second SpongeBob movie.
Seeing as the series currently premieres in less than 18 days and no full trailer has been released, I'm secretly (not so much anymore) hoping that Bagdasarian pushes it back a few weeks after they release a proper trailer. I know everyone is antsy to start watching it, I just really want the best premiere possible. A poor premiere due to lack of advertising can be bad start for a series.
Cartoon Network did the same thing with Sonic Boom. They only staring advertising it after the show premeired. But that show's doing pretty down, let's hope the same thing happens with the chipmunks.
Looks like Rise of the Guardians all over again - amazing animation, no advertising. But the Chipmunks have enough of a fan-base to get a good premier, it's not like it's a brand-new set of characters.
But it does seem a little weird... I keep thinking it'll get pushed back thanks to this. I wonder what's holding them back with advertising..?
Eh...I wouldn't really call the animation amazing. It's good but the films' animation is far superior.
A long trailer existed for the show though well before the premiere on OuiDo's website.
It doesn't matter the size of the fan-base if a large number don't know about something new.
But the Chipmunks had also a trailer too. It aired a whole year before the series.

No, I mean a real, proper trailer. One where there are real scenes. Additionally, Sonic Boom's was like two or two and a half minutes long.
